Employee Wall is a publishing tool and service for any user. 


Harness the power of user generated content in an easy and scalable way. The moderation option is available for admin users.


One can publish content (photos, short messages) to Digital Signage displays on the go using mobile or laptop.



Activating Employee Wall app


Login to Valota.live and Search the Employee Wall app icon from the main page:


Choose this app


  1. Name your app by clicking the pen on top of the page:



    Best practise
    Use a descriptive name.
    If you use SHOW TITLE on your displays name of the App will be visualised on top of the screens.

  2. Choose a Theme
    Use the default Theme or change it according to your preferences.
    Theme defines colors and fonts the App is using.


    You can also use a background image as shown on the theme example below.
    Contact Support for further assistance.



  3. Add logo for content publishing tool
    This can be left empty as the logo placement is no longer used.

  4. Name of the wall

    The name will be used both on the screen and in the app on mobile and laptop.

    Use a descriptive name as it will help you to publish to right audiences.

  5. Validator email

    Who manages individual posts (delete, archive) and if in use, approves new accounts to the service.
    Approval can be automated, with only domain verification.

  6. Domain

    Add your company domain to the field. Only requests with approved domain are sent to the approval process.

  7. Company logo for posts

    This logo shows on all images sent with the Wall app


SHOW ADVANCED values according to your preferences

  1. Validation needed

    Whether the validator needs to approve all new users. If the Validator is not set, this setting has no effect

  2. Posted by
    Show content manager's name on display (On/Off)

  3. Animated text on screens (On/Off)
    Running typewriter text in posts

  4. Number of posts displayed
    The number of most recent posts that should be displayed by the app. Min. 1, max. 40

  5. Page transition animation
    Choose what kind of default animation you want for page transition

  6. Seconds per article:
    How many seconds each page should be visible. If there are other timing values available (i.e. set by the publisher or the length for a video) they supersede this option.

    Best practise is to set the timing between 7-15 seconds.

  7. Posts in one show cycle:
    Set a value for how many posts will show up on the screen before something else comes up. Value can be between 1 - 12

  8. Show Valotalive logo
    As a default all posts have Valotalive logo on the screen. Turn it off with this setting.

  9. Mute videos
    Unmuted videos will play only in Chrome OS media players and WIN10 media players.
    Note! Display needs to be unmuted for the sounds to be heard.

  10. Show page numbers of posts with multiple pages



and complete the app activation by adding the app to a flow or directly to a display.
